Your Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days from the date of conclusion of the contract, without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day you concluded the contract (i.e. the day your payment was confirmed and the rental was booked).

When the Right of Withdrawal Is Lost

Under the Consumer Rights Directive (Art. 16(a)), the right of withdrawal is lost for a service contract where:

• performance began before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period,
• you expressly consented to this before the beginning of performance, and
• you acknowledged that you would lose your right of withdrawal once the service is fully performed.

What rentaskin.gg's service is. The service you book is the delivery of the Skin into your Steam inventory for the rental period. rentaskin.gg performs this service in full at the moment the Skin is transferred to your Steam account, that is, when you accept the trade offer sent by our bot. From that moment the Skin is in your inventory and available to you; the rental period that follows is your use of the Skin, and the automatic return at the end is a technical process that rentaskin.gg carries out, not a further service owed to you.

Your confirmation at checkout. At checkout on rentaskin.gg, you confirm via an active, unticked checkbox that you expressly request immediate performance of the rental service before the end of the withdrawal period and that you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed.

Consequence. Where this confirmation has been given and you have accepted the trade offer, the service has been fully performed and the right of withdrawal no longer applies. Because the trade offer is normally sent within seconds of payment, the right of withdrawal is in practice lost shortly after payment. Withdrawal is only possible in the short period between payment and your acceptance of the trade offer, for example if you decide not to accept the trade offer.

Early Return Is Separate

Independently of the statutory right of withdrawal, rentaskin.gg offers a voluntary early-return feature: after the Skin has been delivered, you can return an active rental through Steam's trade-reversal function and receive a partial refund of 70%, 60%, or 50% of the rental price depending on the day of the return. This feature is described in Section 9 of the Terms of Service and at rentaskin.gg/early-return. It is a goodwill feature, not a statutory right, and it is the only way to return a Skin once the right of withdrawal has been lost.

How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal

To exercise the right of withdrawal (where it has not expired as described above), you must notify us of your decision to withdraw from the contract by an unequivocal statement before the withdrawal period expires. You may use the model withdrawal form below or any other clear statement.

Your withdrawal is considered timely if you send the notification before the withdrawal period has expired. We will acknowledge receipt without delay.

Effects of Withdrawal

If you withdraw before you have accepted the trade offer, the booking is cancelled, any pending trade offer is withdrawn, and we will reimburse all payments received from you no later than 14 days from the day on which we receive your withdrawal notice, using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Once you have accepted the trade offer, the service has been fully performed and no withdrawal is possible. If you no longer want the Skin, you can use the voluntary early-return feature described above to receive a partial refund.
